Student Life

Athletic Teams

Athletics provide more than exercise and competition.  Sport, at its best, teaches the virtues of humanity: courage, grace, persistence, discipline, and greatness of spirit. Brighton supports athletics as intrinsic to the spiritual as well as the physical well-being of young people.
Sports is a vehicle in which young people can learn to work together toward a common goal, respect others, build confidence and develop sound values that will remain with them for the rest of their lives.

Our coaching staff have had successful athletic careers, and they are eager to share their love of sport and competition with our students.   Whether on the volleyball court or the soccer field, our coaches believe there is a place for any student who wishes to participate in the athletic arena.  We know that thoughtfully designed and directed, age-appropriate, athletic experiences contribute to the development of discipline, character, respect, confidence, and favorable habits, which are part of the preparation for adult life.
The Brighton School is a member of the Louisiana High School Athletic Association (LHSAA) and participates in Class C.
Although our school is small, Brighton continues to work toward building a robust and diverse interscholastic athletic program at all grade levels. The school’s current offerings are listed by division.
