Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Intervention: Purdue University

Katie has been working with students with disabilities since 2012 and joined The Brighton School in 2022.. She has experience working with ages kindergarten through 12th grade. Her previous education jobs include teaching for 3 years as a middle school special education teacher, 4 years as the director of a special needs and foster care ministry, and 3 years as an early childhood educator. Katie met her husband in Baton Rouge in 2012. They moved to Missouri and then to Wisconsin before moving back to Baton Rouge in June of 2022 with their two daughters. Katie is so excited to be creating and teaching the Jump Start program here at Brighton as her passion has always been helping students build foundational life skills that they will need beyond high school.
