Bachelor of Arts in Middle School English/Language Arts, Certified 4th-8th: Southeastern Louisiana University
Certified Academic Language Practitioner (CALP): Academic Language Therapy Association (ALTA)
Kasey joined The Brighton School team in 2016 as the Middle School English/Language Arts teacher. In addition to those classroom responsibilities, Kasey is also a Sequential English Education reading therapy teacher working with students in fourth through eighth grades. Prior to her arrival at Brighton, Kasey gained several years of experience teaching in elementary classrooms and in teaching other middle school subjects such as math and science. In the Fall of 2018, Kasey obtained a Certified Academic Language Practitioner endorsement from the Academic Language Therapy Association. She now conducts reading therapy classes for students across all divisions of the school.

We are a school that is dedicated to students who have dyslexia and other language-based learning differences. We believe that ALL students can learn. It’s a matter of how the instruction is given and the support that is available to push students to their potential.
