Betsy McDowell

Term: 2022-2025
Betsy is the co-founder and President of Three Six Zero Industries, a Baton Rouge-based consulting company focused on construction management/risk mitigation and strategic communications & PR for the industrial construction sector. Prior to starting the company, she spent nearly two decades at The Advocate, Louisiana’s largest daily newspaper, where she rose to become the Director of Local Sales. In 2018, Betsy served as Director of Business Development within a national award-winning communications and public relations agency. Betsy attended the University of Mississippi where she earned a Bachelor of Public Administration and was a member of the Ole Miss women's golf team. Over the past six years, Betsy and her husband, Jim, have been heavily involved with The Brighton School. In addition, Jim attended The DePaul School (now The Brighton School) in the 4th grade and is a member of the 8th grade graduating class of 1989. Their decision to move their youngest daughter, Claire, to The Brighton School in the middle of her 2nd-grade year proved to be a true blessing. Claire attended The Brighton School from 2017-2023 and is now in the 8th grade at Parkview Baptist School. Their oldest daughter, Catherine, is a senior at Southeastern Louisiana University.
