Robert’s association with The Brighton School began when his daughter, Tricia, enrolled in the third grade. Tricia graduated from Brighton's Middle School in 1994. Currently, his granddaughter is enrolled in the fifth grade. Robert and his wife, JoAnn, are originally from Arkansas but have lived in Baton Rouge since 1975. They each had long careers at LSU. Robert held several administrative positions in the College of Arts and Sciences and the Office of the University Registrar. His final position was assistant vice president and university registrar. After 40 years of service, Robert retired in 2018 and was honored by being named University Registrar Emeritus. In addition to his civilian occupation, Robert was also a U.S. Army Reserve officer. During his career, Robert’s unit was activated and served in Saudi Arabia and Kuwait during Operations Desert Shield, Desert Storm, and Desert Farewell. He retired as a Major after serving more than 20 years.
