Clubs

Middle School and High School students participate in clubs twice a week during the school day.  Students can explore a wide range of opportunities, from school-specific clubs such as Choir, ASL, Boardgames, and Crafting to nationally recognized student organizations like Esports, FFA, Junior Beta and Senior Beta. We also encourage students with a particular interest to advocate the start of a new club, expanding our offerings and targeting the interests of all students.

Garden Club

The Brighton School offers a dynamic outdoor space where students gain hands-on experience in agriscience and environmental stewardship. The school’s organic garden stretches along the length of the elementary building and includes a calming sensory herb garden at the front entrance.  In 2024, this area expanded with the addition of a fully functional greenhouse which features a 600-gallon, double circulating aquaponic system. Through both science courses and club offerings, students explore sustainable gardening, aquaculture, and ecological responsibility.

Beta Club

Brighton is proud to offer both Junior Beta Club (Grades 6-8) and Senior Beta Club (Grades 9-12). National Beta Club is one of the largest independent youth organizations in the county, rooted in the four pillars of academic achievement, character, leadership, and service. It empowers students to make a positive impact in their school and community. Students participate in nationally themed service events each month and club officers attend annual state leadership summits. A highlight of the year is the State Convention, where students showcase their talents in a variety of academic, artistic, and leadership competitions. Those who place at state have the exciting opportunity to represent Brighton at the National Beta Convention.

Yearbook

The Yearbook Club is where creativity, collaboration, and school spirit come together! This club gives students a chance to play a key role in documenting the school year while learning the basics of photography, graphic design, writing, and editing. Students also develop planning, organization, and teamwork skills as they work to preserve the memories that make each school year special. Whether its snapping photos at events or designing pages behind the scenes, these students’ voices and vision help shape a keepsake that lasts a lifetime.

The Brighton School

Teaching students the way they learn

We are a school that is dedicated to students who have dyslexia and other language-based learning differences. We believe that ALL students can learn. It’s a matter of how the instruction is given and the support that is available to push students to their potential.
