Athletics

The Brighton School offers competitive sports for middle and high school students. These include Boys and Girls Basketball, Boys and Girls Cross Country, Girls Volleyball and Cheerleading. Our Brighton Bengals compete in the ACEL, the Association of Christian Educators of Louisiana, a league for small private schools in our state.

Student athletes develop skills crucial for success both in school and beyond. Regardless of natural giftings or limitations, our students learn valuable life skills through team work, training and competition. Geaux Bengals!

Message from the Athletic Director

Brighton Athletics’ mission is to foster an environment that prioritizes excellence, integrity, and inclusivity in all aspects of our athletic programs. The entire coaching staff is committed to supporting our student-athletes in their pursuit of both athletic achievement and personal growth, while ensuring a positive and respectful culture for all participants. By promoting teamwork, leadership, and sportsmanship, we aim to build strong individuals who contribute to our community with pride and purpose.

As Athletic Director, I find it to be a privilege to serve as a leader and advocate for our student-athletes, coaches, and staff.  I believe in the power of sports to inspire and shape character.  My goal is to create an environment where every student-athlete has the opportunity to succeed, not just in their sport, but in life. I look forward to collaborating with our coaches, parents, and community members to build a strong athletic program that reflects our values and sets the standard for quality, teamwork, and personal development. Together, we will support each other in striving for success and will make a positive impact in our endeavors.

The Brighton School

Teaching students the way they learn

We are a school that is dedicated to students who have dyslexia and other language-based learning differences. We believe that ALL students can learn. It’s a matter of how the instruction is given and the support that is available to push students to their potential.
