Irvin Ussin, BA, MA

High School Environmental Science

Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry - Baylor University, TX
Masters in Curriculum & Instruction - Xavier University Certified Teacher in both Louisiana and Alabama

Irvin has a couple of years experience working in industry, both at Kaiser Aluminum in Chalmette and Avondak Shipyards as an Industrial Chemist.

While working at Avondak, Irvin invented a chemical treatment that kept his company from polluting the Mississippi River. The EPA and our communities are forever grateful for his contributions!

Initially pursuing a path as a chemist, he never thought he would be a teacher. However, one fateful year working as a substitute changed that. He loves inspiring young minds to be curious and work hard. He wants them to learn how to educate themselves and train their minds to be the best they can be.
