Starla stepped into the High School English role for the Brighton School in the spring of 2025. Published author, Starla, has been working in education for the last 5 years. Starla is excited to be a member of the Brighton School as it honors her beliefs that all students should be taught the way they learn. She is a firm believer that literacy is a civil right. Starla has served as a literary editor for the past two years and is currently studying for her masters in fine arts from Eastern Kentucky University. 


 

We are a school that is dedicated to students who have dyslexia and other language-based learning differences. We believe that ALL students can learn. It’s a matter of how the instruction is given and the support that is available to push students to their potential.
