Lisa joined the Brighton School team in 2018 as the school librarian.  Before joining the Brighton faculty, she was a librarian in the East Baton Rouge Parish Public School System for 9 years.  She also taught high school and middle school English for 16 years. Lisa received a B.A. in Journalism and a master’s degree in Library and Information Science from LSU. Lisa’s focus is to bring students to a love of literature and to support them in becoming life-long learners and readers.   
 

We are a school that is dedicated to students who have dyslexia and other language-based learning differences. We believe that ALL students can learn. It’s a matter of how the instruction is given and the support that is available to push students to their potential.
