Lisa's journey to the Brighton School began when she realized her daughter had learning differences. After investigating area options, Lisa and her family relocated to Baton Rouge from Mississippi and enrolled her daughter in Brighton. A passionate advocate for students who learn differently, Lisa is a valuable resource for families trying to understand their child. Currently, Lisa teaches a variety of courses between the Middle School and High School and also serves as the school’s Middle School Division Lead. A natural educator, Lisa believes in the potential of every child and their ability to grow stronger because of their learning difference.
We are a school that is dedicated to students who have dyslexia and other language-based learning differences. We believe that ALL students can learn. It’s a matter of how the instruction is given and the support that is available to push students to their potential.
