Katie began teaching fifth grade at The Brighton School in the fall of 2017. While at LSU, Katie’s work focused on regular education students, as well as special education students with mild to moderate learning differences. During that time, she worked in third-grade inclusion classrooms, as well as multi-leveled self-contained classrooms. She has always had a passion for working with children with learning differences and helping them succeed.
We are a school that is dedicated to students who have dyslexia and other language-based learning differences. We believe that ALL students can learn. It’s a matter of how the instruction is given and the support that is available to push students to their potential.
