While teaching in the Catholic school system, it was her daughter’s dealing dyslexia that brought her to The Brighton School. Kathryn began teaching at Brighton in 2004 and continued teaching students in grades K -2 until 2013.  After leaving Brighton, Kathryn continued to tutor students with Dyslexia and learning differences. Six years later, Kathryn returned to Brighton to work as a reading therapy teacher.  Now back in the classroom as the school’s first-grade teacher, Kathryn believes school should not be a place to cause students to worry but rather a place to learn strategies that will help them to reach their goals.

We are a school that is dedicated to students who have dyslexia and other language-based learning differences. We believe that ALL students can learn. It’s a matter of how the instruction is given and the support that is available to push students to their potential.
