Kathleen joined the Brighton community in January 2018 as a Sequential English Education teacher and now serves as the school’s high school social studies teacher. Kathleen has had a long relationship with Brighton. Her son, James, was a Brighton student and a member of The Brighton School Class of 2012. Kathleen has accumulated forty years of teaching experience but has the passion and inquisitive nature of a first-year teacher. She keeps up with new teaching strategies through workshops and professional development. As a person with dyslexia, she understands the challenges her students face.
We are a school that is dedicated to students who have dyslexia and other language-based learning differences. We believe that ALL students can learn. It’s a matter of how the instruction is given and the support that is available to push students to their potential.
