Jordyn Pope, BS

Kindergarten - 1st Grade

Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education (Pk-3rd grade): Southeastern Louisiana University

During her time at Southeastern, Miss Jordyn completed a year-long clinical practice called Methods that included classroom observations, tutoring, and small group instruction, followed by a year-long Residency where she student taught and fell in love with teaching.

Miss Jordyn loves teaching K/1 because she has a passion for helping students feel loved and supported as they grow, both academically and personally. She wants every one of her students to know they're safe to take risks and grow, in and out of the classroom. There's nothing more rewarding than watching a child discover something new about the world and about themselves.

She's so grateful to be a part of Brighton because of its commitment to developmentally appropriate practices for our youngest learners. She loves that students are given so many opportunities to build social-emotional skills, motor skills, and communication through purposeful play. It's a joy for her to help create that kind of nurturing, hands-on learning environment every day.
