Bernice became a full-time member of Brighton’s faculty in 2021 after finishing the 2019-2020 academic year. She has been an interpreter since 1997 and has done so in many legal and educational settings in Louisiana and beyond. In addition to interpreting, Bernice has taught future interpreters, as well as evaluated the performance of interpreters. Bernice’s passion for interpreting and for opening the language to our students is evident.
We are a school that is dedicated to students who have dyslexia and other language-based learning differences. We believe that ALL students can learn. It’s a matter of how the instruction is given and the support that is available to push students to their potential.
