Arete Scholars Scholarship

The Brighton School is a school of choice in the Arete Scholars scholarship Program.  This program is a part of the Louisiana Tuition Donation Credit Program.

The Louisiana Tuition Donation Credit Program allows qualified Louisiana children to receive scholarships to qualified K – 12 private schools, allowing parents to choose the school that will best prepare their children for college, careers, and for life.

Arete Scholars provides private K-12 scholarships exclusively to qualifying low-to-moderate income students. The scholarships empower parents who otherwise have limited options to select a school that best meets their child's unique gifts, talents, and learning needs.

To be eligible for a scholarship, students must
  • have a family income that does not exceed 250% of the federal poverty line;
  • be a resident of Louisiana;
  • have attended a public school on October 1st and February 1st of the most recent school year;
  • be entering kindergarten for the first time; or
  • have participated in the Louisiana Scholarship Program/Tuition Donation Program the previous school year.
PLEASE NOTE: Arete Scholars Scholarships are provided on a first-applied, first-awarded basis as funds are available with priority given to current Arete, TDC, and Louisiana State Scholarship recipients. Application season runs from late-February to late-May (or sooner if application limit reaches 3,200).
