Kenny Henderson joined the Brighton School in the June of 2016 as Executive Director/Principal. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in education, with a major in Health and Physical Education and a minor in Social Studies, from Louisiana Tech University in 1981. Ten years later, Kenny obtained his Master of Education in the field of Supervision and Administration from the University of Louisiana Monroe. He has 30 plus years of experience in the field of education after starting out as a teacher/coach in 1986 and took his first administrative position in 1991 as Head of School of Cedar Creek School in Ruston, La. Kenny has also served in a variety of academic administration positions in Louisiana and Texas. He is passionate about The Brighton School and its mission. Kenny truly believes that every child can learn if given the proper instruction if done so in the way the child learns best. “The Brighton School is the most rewarding administrative position that I have ever had the privilege to hold. I truly love the students and the educators that I get to work with every day.”

We are a school that is dedicated to students who have dyslexia and other language-based learning differences. We believe that ALL students can learn. It’s a matter of how the instruction is given and the support that is available to push students to their potential.
