The Brighton School on WAFB

Oct 8, 2026 3:31 PM

This week, our Principal, Dr. John Hodges, and our Executive Director, Cheryl Ollmann, were interviewed by WAFB to discuss dyslexia and other reading-based learning differences.

Their message was clear: Every student learns differently, and with the right support, every student has the ability to thrive.

We’re grateful for the opportunity to raise awareness, share understanding, and advocate for students with dyslexia and other learning differences.

We are a school that is dedicated to students who have dyslexia and other language-based learning differences. We believe that ALL students can learn. It’s a matter of how the instruction is given and the support that is available to push students to their potential.
