Senior BETA Convention
Senior Beta participated in the annual Beta convention in Lafayette, Louisiana. The team was excited to grow and learn from their peers and their presentations.
We met and collaborated with other Beta clubs from around the region. We went with our 6 Senior Beta officers: Zach Lofton (12th), Brody Giles,(12th) Sam Randow (12th), Madeline Melancon (12th), Sophie Ramirez (12th), and Reese Robinson (10th). One activity we participated in was called Being Better Betas. Being Better Betas is the ethical decision-making presentation that requires innovative solutions to complicated problems.
The team then created a solution and presented it later that day. While we did not receive any awards this year, we plan on building on what we learned and returning with even better ideas in the future.
We are a school that is dedicated to students who have dyslexia and other language-based learning differences. We believe that ALL students can learn. It’s a matter of how the instruction is given and the support that is available to push students to their potential.
