Originally from Chattanooga, Tennessee, Coach Counts has spent 26 years teaching and working with children from the elementary level to post-high school. He earned a bachelor's degree in Business Administration from King University, while playing baseball there. Coach has been a member of the Brighton staff since 2013, and prior to that, he served 18 years as the baseball coach and a teacher at Episcopal of Baton Rouge. After graduating from King in '91, Coach Counts was hired by Louisiana State University Athletic Department as a Graduate Assistant. While there, he earned a master's degree in Kinesiology with a concentration in Pedagogy and Motor Behavior. Coach Counts is a Certified Athletic Administrator sanctioned by the National Interscholastic Athletic Administrators Association.
