Cheryl Ollmann, M. Ed., CALT/iCALP

Director of Academics and Instruction
Year Appointed: 2017
Cheryl has found her way to The Brighton School after coming through Illinois and Vermont. Eleven years after graduating from the University of Illinois in 1983, she began her elementary teaching career in rural Vermont. While there, she continued her studies with a focus in educational leadership and graduated from UVM with a master’s degree in 2005. Upon moving to Louisiana, Cheryl has served as the Lower School Division Head at Episcopal of Baton Rouge, the principal of Children’s Charter School and as a national consultant for the Center for Responsive School. For the past three years, Cheryl has been blessed to learn and grow from the amazing students that walk the halls and the teachers who so passionately work on behalf of those children. Cheryl believes that the relationships developed between teacher and student, teacher and teacher are the key to paving the way for learning to begin.
