

The Brighton School Parkmeadow Campus is a college preparatory high school for grades 7 - 12 under the direction of Principal and Executive Director, Gary Kinchen, and welcomes students with dyslexia or other language-related learning differences with average or above average intelligence. We feature low student-teacher ratio and certified teachers trained in remediation of students with dyslexia.
Accommodations and assistive technology help students master academic content while they continue to receive language instruction across the curriculum. Practical life and job related skills are emphasized, along with preparation for post secondary academics.
Uniforms: Required and must be purchased from School Time.
Daily Schedule: 8:00 a.m. to 2:51 p.m.
Medications: Written documentation from a physician is required.
Methodology of Instruction:
Direct Instruction
Continuous student-teacher interaction with diagnostic teaching
Accommodations and modifications as needed or as designated by Psychologist
Teachers:
Middle School instructors provide further, higher-level intervention,
with an emphasis on the application of language skills to content area subjects. Particular attention is given to study
skills, vocabulary development, written expression and reading comprehension, in preparation for High School academics.
On the High School level, accommodations and assistive technology help students master academic content while they
continue to receive language instruction across the curriculum. Skills are emphasized for preparation for post secondary academics.
